Kabambe Demands Reversal of Public University Fee Hike

UTM President Dalitso Kabambe has called on the government to reverse the recently approved 100 percent tuition fee increase for public universities, arguing that the decision will place higher education out of reach for many Malawian families.

He said the hike contradicts the government's own commitment to expanding access to tertiary education and called for a stakeholder dialogue on sustainable financing of universities.
