MEC Officials Questioned Over Alleged Financial Mismanagement

Four senior officials from the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) were summoned by the Fiscal Police in Lilongwe on Tuesday for questioning over alleged financial mismanagement at the Commission.

The questioning follows an ongoing review of the electoral body's finances, with sources confirming that procurement and expenditure records are at the centre of the inquiry.
